ABSTRACT

To run efficiently telecommunication system we need reliable convenient, efficient and affordable network planning with challenging service delivery as per user's needs. In this regards, after multiple experiments PTCL being the largest telecom operator in Pakistan and related to Etisalat group considered the innovative suggestion to implement proposed planning of "network transformation Project "as Pilot in Qasimabad exchange "Hyderabad. In this project, I have designed the transformation of old copper network to optical fiber by keeping in m ind the last mile within 1kmts which before about 4-6 kmts and network designed with successfully implemented by replacing all primary copper media with fiber optics. Subsequently, installed 37 hybrid MSAG's to provide connectivity from MSAG 's instead of exchange to minimize distances. Impact of this project was widely observed and reflected in QoS improvement, fault control, churn control, market competency, future enabled services, technological evolution, service mindset and
revenue strengthen.
