ABSTRACT

The power system is the complex and interconnected system. Its operation being performed at different stages must be carried out in an efficient way. However, this usually does not happen. The power system undergoes different types of disturbances which are not only harmful for the system operation but can damage to the equipment installed at both distributor side and user side. So, the focus of the research has been made on classification of basic causes of frequency distortion in Power Distribution Network. The research has been carried out by developing 6 different cases in Simulink tool of MATLAB software. The models provide the basis of reasons in the form of circuits and components which causes those disturbances. In addition to that, the harmonic content for different cases have been obtained and the results have been explained for the graphs obtained from different cases.
